WHAT WE ASK
Press Pass asks that partner schools consider committing to the following in advance of the program:
Recommend a teacher to be trained to teach journalism and advise the newspaper program
Facilitate a Journalism/Newspaper club and/or elective
Integrate Journalism/Media Studies coursework into the upcoming school-year curriculum (recommended)
Integrate school-wide News Literacy lessons based on student publications into the general curriculum (recommended)
Dedicate a “Newsroom” classroom or space to the program (recommended)
Envision continuing an independent school newspaper program in future years
