Auhjanae McGee is a court reporter and freelance writer and editor. She was born and raised in Detroit, MI, but has recently settled in NYC, and she has fallen in love with its liveliness and accessibility. She's a pop culture enthusiast and has devoted a significant portion of her academic and professional career to pursuing entertainment journalism. She currently writes longform features for CinemaBlend, and she also has bylines at Screen Rant and METAL Magazine.
She is also passionate about student journalism, having been one of the founding editors of her student newspaper in high school, and participating in multiple student journalism efforts ever since.
Auhjanae has served as an alumni counselor for the Princeton Summer Journalism Program, which selects high-achieving, low-income students from across the country to learn journalism fundamentals from some of the most acclaimed people in the industry, for the past five years. She believes very strongly in the importance of public education and youth community engagement, and is very excited by all of the opportunities Press Pass NYC offers.
